Indo-Pak One Day Series

Yuppo, as predicted we won the series but my prediction about 4-1 win to India did'nt happen and it actually was quite a close contest right through the series. I still believe that this team is far more experienced and leagues ahead of the Pakistani Team. The rebuilding of the team happened after the match fixing controversy and that was 5 yrs ago. Somehow the right kind of personnel and situations came along for us and we today have a team which is the second best in the world. Pakistan nowhere is in that league. Their rebuilding happened just after the World Cup and they simply do not have experienced players.

But what one can't count is the spirit that they seem to have when they play against India. They play passionately and seem to be possessed when they play us. It has always helped them to win against us and now wonder that they have a better record against us in both form of the games. But then this time it's different. They are up against a team who has been led by one Mr.Saurav Ganguly who is equally passionate and possibly only one player from India who play like a Pakistani. He's been in charge and his spirit and never say die attitude is reflected in the team. Also wonderfully aided by the New Zealander , ultra professional and Rational John Wright and one Mr.Rahul Dravid who is in the peak of his cricketing career.

What I knew that in spite of all the passion of the pakistani, at some point or the other it would fall flat. Indians just need to be persistence and consistent. We have people who simply have the ability to raise the game when it matters the most. We had more important sessions and situations where we raised our game in the entire and hence the victory. It was close because yes One Day cricket largely negates the advantages a stronger team has and usually the team that plays well on a given day end up victorious.

All in all very closely contested and possibly one of the best One Day series in recent times.
