India Shining

Now that the 'India Shining' campaign has failed and the BJP govt has failed in the elections, it has yet again proven that no amount of Marketing/Branding can give results if the groundwork is not done. If you fail to reach out to the masses and give the public what they want, no amount of 'feel good' factor changes the reality. This is applicable to the other debate which I have had with few good friends from the Ad Industry. I have been talking/arguing with some of my friends, against so called Branding and Marketing campaigns without sufficient quality and features when it comes to selling products and services.

I reiterate gain, Advertising done for the sake of winning awards, and campaigns which are hollow and
leads nowhere are of no use if the proper product/service is not there in the first place. Ad isn't everything, just a miniscule activity compared to actually innovating and creating userful products. Expending energy/resources/time trying to get the Ad World into the business is a futile exercise.
