Hero Worshipping

Poor thinking reflects an indulgent sporting culture, a culture that celebrates the person and not the performance.

Thus wrote Peter Roebuck about Sachin Tendulkar and the hero-worshipping of him in India. I saw the same after England won the second Test. All that anyone mentioned was Flintoff. There was nothing on any online newspapers, blogs, articles other than the glorious Flintoff. Guess they aren't as different as they claim to be.
